New Ideas for the Next Era

WHO WE ARE

KOZMOZ is founded on a focused, seasoned, and enterprising space technology team committed to drive innovation through cutting-edge R&D to produce disruptive technologies and solutions  with wide industry and sector application in

several fields of aerospace engineering, including:

PROPULSION

AERODYNAMICS

and

FLIGHT MECHANICS / DYNAMICS

Applying our ‘thinking outside the box' approach, we are building a suite of technology solutions to impactfully contribute towards overcoming some of the key challenges that lie ahead as we all navigate further into the next era for the global space industry

WHAT WE DO

The KOZMOZ team is currently working across two main fields of research and solution generation:

Innovative Space Launch Technology

and

Advanced Propulsion

We are also engaged with on-orbit servicing and related technology. Kozmoz takes keen interest in future technologies pertaining to space assets and their orbital management, with research ongoing into satellite life-extension; modular spacecraft; orbit-assembly, as well as orbital refuelling of satellites and related services

Innovative Space Launch

Kozmoz is developing ground-breaking space launch technology for nano and micro satellites using innovative propulsion systems.

This system will not only reduce launch costs significantly, but also cater for a more responsive ‘launch on demand’ approach due to short launch turn-round times and rapid multi-launching capability

Advanced Propulsion

Development of high performance and efficient propulsion systems for several space and defence applications.

Main research focus is currently on hypersonic airbreathing propulsion and combined cycle-based engines

  • Hypersonic Air-breathing Propulsion

Focus on supersonic and hypersonic intakes, high speed combustion and new propellant formulations (solid, liquids and gel), as well as combustion studies.

  • Combined-Cycled Based Propulsion

Higher propulsive-efficient multi-mode engine operation within the same duct necessitates several combined-cycle engines where air-breathing mode is coupled with rocket mode, and turbo-machinery is combined with rocket mode, for air and

ground-based engines.
